What is Greenfield Home and School?
Greenfield Home and School is a volunteer non-profit organization made up of parents and staff members from our school. Every parent who has a child enrolled is a member. Home and School is an advocacy group working on behalf of the children in the school. The more active members Home and School has, the stronger voice it has.
What does Home and School do?
Home and School provides a forum for the home and the school to discuss issues that affect the children on Greenfield and works with the school to promote quality education for all students.
Home and School also helps in the organization and implementation of various programs in the school such as the Greenfield Picnic, Hot Lunch Days, Christmas Hampers, Year End Family Run and Fundraising Efforts.
Greenfield Home and School is also a member of PAGE which is a a group of parents from Parkside, Athena, Greenfield and Elm Street schools who have come together to explore, research and discuss the issues of children’s wellness and safety in our schools and community.
How Do I Become Involved?
Home and School meets once monthly during the school year. By attending meetings you can:
- take part in discussions
- find out what projects are up and coming
- provide input on issues and projects
- voice educational concerns
- join committees
**Your level of involvement is determined by you!
Your involvement shows your child(ren) that education is important. When parents are involved with their children’s education at an early age the benefits persist throughout the child’s academic career.
These years only come by once in a lifetime- don’t miss this wonderful opportunity!
